Cactus mix with Ceramic Pot, a selection of cactus that are perfect for creating amazing creations. Cacti is now a very common houseplant and caring for your cacti is important. They come in a vast range of shapes and sizes from the petite to the grand.
The native habitat for most cacti and succulents is a desert. Therefore, they will grow best in lots of light, good drainage, high temperatures, and low moisture.
Light: Bright, indirect sunlight is essential for cacti. Place them near a sunny window, but avoid direct sunlight during the hottest part of the day. If you’re growing cacti indoors, rotate the pot occasionally to ensure even light exposure.
Soil: Use a well-draining cactus mix or create your own by mixing regular potting soil with sand or perlite. Ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent waterlogged soil.
Watering: Less is more! Cacti prefer to be slightly underwatered than overwatered. Water thoroughly when the top inch (2.5 cm) of soil is dry. During active growth (spring and summer), water more frequently. In winter, reduce watering significantly as cacti go dormant.
Temperature: Cacti thrive in warm temperatures. Keep them in a room with temperatures between 70°F to 90°F (21°C to 32°C). Protect them from cold drafts and frost.
Container: Choose a well-draining pot that allows excess water to escape.
