Fairy Castle Cactus | TLSP – 48

The Fairy Castle Cactus, scientifically known as Acanthocereus tetragonus, is a whimsical and attractive cactus that is popular among plant enthusiasts. It gets its name from its numerous vertical stems of varying heights that resemble the turrets of a fairy tale castle. The stems are green and have five sides with short, white spines along the ribs. This slow-growing cactus can eventually reach several feet in height and is often used as an ornamental indoor plant due to its unique shape and low maintenance requirements.

Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Can tolerate some direct sunlight but protect from the harsh afternoon sun.

Water: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water sparingly, especially in winter.

Soil: Use a well-draining cactus mix to prevent root rot.

Temperature: Keep at room temperature and protect from frost.

Feeding: Fertilize with a diluted cactus fertilizer during the growing season.
