Bush lily (Clivia Miniata), also known as Natal Lily or Kaffir Lily, is a clump-forming perennial plant native to the woodlands of South Africa and Eswatini. It features dark green, strap-like leaves and produces clusters of vibrant trumpet-shaped flowers in shades of orange, red, or yellow during late winter or early spring. After flowering, it bears ornamental orange berries. The bush lily is known for its fragrant scent but is toxic if ingested.
Light: Prefers full sun to partial shade.
Soil: Plant in well-draining, fertile soil.
Water: Water regularly to keep the soil moist but not soggy, as lilies dislike dry soil and can suffer from root rot in overly wet conditions.
Fertilizing: Fertilize at the start of the growing season and then every few weeks until blooming finishes.
Mulching: Mulch bulb roots to retain moisture and provide cool shade.
